Our latest new tenant is Curious Cargo – a performance & community arts company. They have created a pink palace within Big Tin Shed from where they create fabulous, fun & engaging, street theatre walkabout acts & puppet characters for festivals & events throughout the year. The range of acts offer a variety of colourful comic characters & fantastic puppets, all created with exquisite attention to detail & high performance skills.

In addition to performing Curious Cargo also delivers performance & making workshops in a range of community settings. The workshop & training portfolio includes: physical theatre & improvisation techniques; mask movement & mask making; puppeteering skills & puppet making; exploring projection, shadow & movement; creation of large scale puppets, props & lanterns for parades & celebratory events; and a range of visual arts experiences including withy sculptures, silk paper making, mark-making etc.
